Almost 3 years ago a pharmacy gave me the wrong pills in place of my
antidepressants. At the time i was 17 and my parents refused to do anything
about it because my father worked for the company and they were afraid he would
be fired. Anyway i was wondering if there is anything i could do now or if the
statute of limitations runs out can anything be done?

Done about what? Getting you the right pills now or getting a refund?
Did you suffer any adverse consequences? SOL can vary by locale. If you
say where all this happened and what happened to you due to those pills,
someone may be able to render a helpful answer.

In most states the statute of limitations for a minor doesn't start until
the minor reaches majority.

The real issue is what do you want to do, what is it you feel the pharmacy
owes you? They made a mistake and gave you the wrong medicine. What
happened then? Did you not notice it was different than what you had been
taking? Or did you take it? If you took it, what harm was done to you?
Are you still suffering from that harm?

If you didn't take them back, how can you prove three years later they made
the mistake? If you did take them back there was no damage done.

The first thing to figure out is whether you suffered any harm as a
result. If not, fugeddaboudit.

If you did suffer some harm, consult a local lawyer to see if your
case is worth pursuing. Don't hesitate another day, since we have no
idea how close you are to the running of the Statute of Limitations.
It varies from state to state -- and you don't say what state you're
in -- but in MD, you would still have a right to sue for injuries that
occurred to you while you were underage, for up to 3 years after you
turn into a legal adult at age 18, perhaps even longer if you did not
discover the harm until a later date.

Some states have a shorter limit. But you won't know until you ask.
Good luck,

Maybe. All of this depends on the law of your state. What you need to
do is make several sit-down appointments with a number of medical
malpractice plaintiff lawyers, and see what their various opinions
are. You can't get a proper answer from usenet given your situation.

(Note: Medical malpractice is not the same thing as pharmacy
negligence, but med mal attorneys are still the ones you want.)

As statutes of limitations vary from state to state, you should see an
attorney who focuses on medical malpractice in your state.
