I am struggling to find a medical malpractice attorney. I live in
Wisconsin.

A settlement is within reach, but I need to find an attorney. I've
called dozens, but most won't take the case because they only want
easy wins.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Here's an idea, but you're not going to like it.

Sure, attorneys want easy wins. But no malpractice suit is a slam-
dunk. The fact that "dozens"(*) have said your case isn't worth
pursuing should tell you that maybe it's not worth pursuing.

Maybe you were actually not the victim of malpractice; maybe you
were but it's unprovable. At this point you should either give it up
or, if you have very deep pockets, ask them to take it on a fee-for-
service basis.

(*) Really -- you've called over 24 medical-malpractice attorneys,
and every one has turned you down? Color me skeptical.

I am not a lawyer; this is not legal advice. When you read anything
legal on the net, always verify it on your own, in light of your
particular circumstances. You may also need to consult a lawyer.

I was the victim of medical malpractice, and there is proof. The
problem is that the firm representing me decided not to pursue my
case, and they waited until very late in the game to notify me (if not
for the restrictive statutes in my home state, I could sue them for
legal malpractice). The lawyers who turned me down said I have a valid
claim. They simply didn't feel they could get on board so late in the
process. Now I'm facing deadlines and scrambling to find a lwayer.
