Oh yeah, Edwards being a trial lawyer has been SUCH a well-kept secret.
Yeah, ordinary Americans so hate to see some severely injured or disabled

He can't support small business and American jobs while making a career
of driving production off shore. He's a lying hypocrite as well as a
shyster lieyer.
A group of dinner guests were blaming all of America's troubles on
lawyers when a woman said, "They aren't all so bad. Why, last year a
lawyer gave me $1000." I don't believe it," the host responded. "It's
true, I swear it," said the woman. "I had a complicated personal injury
case and what with the lawyer's fee, the cost of expert witnesses, the
expense of the appeal and so on, my bill was $41,000. When the judgment
only amounted to $40,000, my lawyer simply forgave the difference."

If a firm makes an unsafe product, or provides an unsafe facility, the
consumer can sue them. Doesn't matter if they manufacture the product in
Boston or Bangalore. Offshoring has nothing to do with product liability.
Have you seen the number of jobs sent out via offshoring? Pretty small
numbers, it makes for nice press but issues like health care costs have a
lot more to do with these things. Kerry is the only one who will stop
giving tax breaks to these companies for sending jobs offshore, Bush isn't
doing **** on the subject.
Hell, his steel tariffs did more to encourage manufactureres to leave the

True, but Edwards made his money suing people who weren't responsible
for the diseases of the alleged "victims." He used pathos arguments and
got juries to award big settlements to crying females and children when
the people being sued had nothing to do with their diseases.
That kind of law ought to be criminal. It is the kind that decent

Because low-skilled labor is cheaper off shore. Which has nothing to do

Logically, product liability has nothing to do with WHERE it's manufactured,

There's no use in trying to explain something to a blind idiot of a

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,52310,00.html
Snip:
Edwards largely funded his own Senate campaign with a $20-50 million fortune
he earned as a trial lawyer, winning huge medical malpractice and products
liability claims. Some (including Al Gore's 2000 campaign staff) might
consider Edward's career path a liability to his aspirations for higher
office.
Snip
Should he run for president, Edwards intends to wear the trial lawyer label
conspicuously and proudly. On Meet the Press last Sunday, Edwards told host
Tim Russert he built his considerable estate "representing people who were
in very difficult places in their lives and trying to give them a shot. And
I'm proud of what I did"
Snip
The United States increasingly faces a health care crisis. Many doctors,
faced with ever-mounting malpractice insurance premiums, have gone out of
business. Others are retiring early. Some are moving to states that have
enacted tort reform, while rural states without significant tort reform are
losing doctors hand over fist. Their poorest citizens can't find medical
help where they need it. Trial lawyers like John Edwards are a big reason
why.

Yup- when doctors run a business, they should expect the same sort of
treatment as any other business. They're caught being careless, rushed,
greedy- and our system only allows for complaint for damages through a court
of law- their own regulatory bodies don't do the job.

The biggest reason for the faux "shortage" of doctors is that the AMA
exercises government granted power to strictly limit the number of
doctors. Shortages always keep prices high. Most accredited medical
schools could easily train twice as many doctors as they do now, and
other excellent commercial medical schools have tried to open, but the
AMA has a QUOTA for doctor training that it imposes for economic reasons.
Whenever they tell you that there is a "shortage" of doctors look to see
who is LYING to you. Chances are it's an AMA monopolist or a politician
that they have bought.
Lawyers are the scum of the earth, but the medical industrial complex is
right in there with them. In fact, when a lawyer sues a doctor it's
hard to know which is the lesser evil.

I don't need anyone to piss on me if I were on fire. I take care of myself. Period. I'm a fine example of a young, hard working American who is become disgusted by all of the freebies, bogus lawsuits, ridiculous taxes, lazy *** government employees, etc...
A fine example you are, but not of decent hard working people who
consider their vote rather than blindly follow the rich and greedy, and
thieving who don't care about you any more than they care about anyone
who isn't in their group. If you are happy to work approx. 6 months to
give the government money, which gives money to their buddies, that's up
to you, but others among us believe differently.

At least their wives haven't killed anybody, unlike Laura Bush.....

Kerry testified before Congress that he killed and burned women,
children, and villages. Does that count?

When did we divide into sides?
"As president, I will put American government and our legal system back
on the side of women." John Kerry, misandrist Democratic candidate for

That's because he was serving his country dutifully in the
armed forces, something our current "President" would know
nothing about.
