15 years ago when I was 17, a lady ran a stop sign and we collided.

I had my head xrayed and had blood coming from just above my hair line.

Now its receded there's a scar. I had a doctor examine the injuries after the accident
but we ended up getting about $1000 for pain and suffering.

Any case here, you can see the scar from several metres away.

unless being willing to be crusified again. Of course Jesus can come
back, but it would be a terrible abuse, people would attack, ridicule,
lie, compaign about the person, and they would call for psychs. And
they would come to get Jesus committed, drugged, e-schocked before
the comeback would be known to all of the people. Barbara Schwarz

huh?

I thought it'd make a good borderline liability case, on fringe benefits :D

Isn't $1000 a bit short for a 1cm scar on my face? She went straight through
a stop sign at full speed while changing over a tape, totalled both cars and
I went to hospital.

Why were you listening to a tape in the hospital?

She went straight through
a stop sign at full speed while changing over a tape, totalled both cars and

THEN

I went to hospital.

ok?

Car 1, female driver, not paying attention, goes through stop sign.
Car 2, me driving, drives straight through intersection with right of way.

Cars collide, we both go to hospital, she is responsible for the accident.
I don't have any permanent injuries, but a gash just above my hairline so you can't see it.
I was awarded $1000 for pain and suffering.
Now my hair has receded and there is a permanent scar from the accident, 15 years ago.

I-Ierc,

You settled the case for $1000 many years ago. Check with a lawyer if you
wish but you'll not get any more money.

Good luck,
Dave M.

Right, I signed a form saying not to sue in accepting the $1000.

Would the doctor be negligent, he hardly looked at my forehead only my knee
it was also covered in iodine or some red stain that lasted a few days. We went
to the doctor for the insurance report.

I thought at the time I'll probably get a scar in 10 years when the hairline recedes,
and I did! Only minor but a permanent scar on your face seems she walked away
pretty easy for $1000.

Thanks
Herc

|-|erc,

I'm not sure that you would prevail in a malpractice suit. But, I
suspect that the statute of limitations for medical malpractice would be
worth investigating. Many legal systems recognize the difficulty in bringing
suit 15 years after an incident. It seems to me that rather than spending
much time and effort in the legal ramifications of this keloid you should
consult a plastic surgeon for possible techniques to ameliorate your
disfigurement (if that's what it is).

Good luck,
Dave M
