Is it true that the various Bar Associations have funds from which to help
in the relief of victims of attorneys malpractice?

Probably would depend on the state; Florida has a Client Security Fund and a committee that reviews complaints and determines whether there should be a payout (I believe there is a ceiling on the amount, but not sure) Go online and check with your state's Bar Association.

The California State Bar has a victims fund for attorney embezzlement and trust fund violations, it doesn't cover "malpractice" such as bad advice or missing a deadline.

Chas was last in this thread over 3 and one half years ago.

By now, his situation has resolved itself.
