This horror comes from unregulated adoption in the US IMO. No one should be able to adopt or relinquish their child over the net.. No one.. JackieYes, I've been following her story there too. There is no denying thathse voluntarily chose adoption. However it is more than obvious thatshe had no counselling whatsoever from those who arranged theadoption.

Thats the key..
It boggles the mind that in this day and age the mostimportant decision any parent can make is allowed to occur without anycounselling being offered and without any realunderstanding of open adoption or its implications.

A woman just posted over there that she is having a hard time visiting
her baby.. She promised to visit so is keeping her promise..

Honestly Di.. I am amazed at the strength of these women..
And I agree, unregulated US adoption practices is certainly the causeof these horrific outcomes. They make potential victims of everyone. But for reasons known only to themselves, USians seem to seeunregulated practices and their obvious potential for lifelongsuffering as some kind of bizarre form of freedom of choice.

Yes.. Freedom to 'screw' someone else..

Freedom to be 'screwed'.
