As a solid Democrat, I have to agree with to on this one.
I despise Bush's tendency to secrecy and a "father knows
best" manner of conducting the presidency, but Laura Bush
is an exemplary human being. She has given tirelessly of
her time and energy for causes ranging from children's
welfare and victim's rights to racial equality and fairness
in sentencing. And she has done all of it without accepting
a penny in speaking funds, electing to give any monies to
various charitable organizations - among them the children's
cancer research center at National Jewish Hospital in Denver.

This election is not about the wives of the candidates, it
is about the candidates themselves, and the policies they
propose. Anyone who stoops to slandering a candidate's wife
is a coward and a traitor to all that America represents.
