I'm in the process of refinancing my house to get a lower rate. After
the pre-qualify process was done, there was a problem getting my house
appraised. I find out that my deed/title to the house has not been
recorded yet after one year. I did get the GRANT DEED by mail that
states that my name has beenrecorded/filed in official records
recorders office in XX COUNTY CALIFORNIA. However, attached to the
deed was a note from the REGISTAR-RECORDER/COUNTY CLERK that states: "
NOTICE, THE ENCLOSED ORIGINAL PAGE WAS FOUND LOOSE IN OUR OFFICE. WE
HAVE INCLUDED THE FIRST 2 PAGES OF THE DOCUMENT IT SHOULD BE ATTACHED
TO. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS HAS CAUSE." What can I
do to rectify this problem, what are my rights? I have title
insurance with XXXXXX TITLE COMPANY. Please help, I can't afford to
get a lawyer but some people are advising me to file a lawsuit?? What
can I do, call my title company, lender, or the county
registar-recorder county clerk??? I did pay for taxes(supplemental)
under my name this year? What can I do? Help!!!
